It’s almost the end of January, and if you’re like most people, you’ve probably broken a resolution or two by now. Our collective inability to follow through on those goals set January 1 is so prevalent that there’s even a holiday dedicated to this – January 17 is “National Ditch Your Resolution Day.”

As a coach, my job is to help my clients set realistic goals that work with how they best operate… to get there in a “smarter not harder way.” Breaking down habits and the story you tell yourself about your ability to be successful is challenging though… not to mention holding yourself accountable to follow through.

That’s why I’m spending the next week talking #resolutionreset. Every day, I’m going to lead you through some basic steps to help you examine your resolutions and make the necessary changes to bring them more into alignment with how you work best.

#ResolutionReset: Tomorrow, we’re going to jump in with an overview of how you can use Gretchen Rubin’s The Four Tendencies when setting goals. Your tendency helps provide insight into a simple question – “How do I respond to expectations?” To learn what tendency you are, take The Four Tendencies quiz (it’s free and takes about 10 minutes)
